Business immigrants are people who can invest in or start business in Canada and to expected to support the development of a strong and prosperous Canadian economy. If you are an established businessman or interested in moving to Canada to start a busines, you may be eligible to immigrate to Canada through business immigration program. Under this class, the whole family can immigrate to Canada as a permanent resident. Both the federal and provincial/territorial governments welcome business immigrants and offer services to help immigrants to start a business and settle in Canada.

There are two classes of business immigrants:

Those who enter with a start-up visa

Self-employed persons

Various Provincial Nominee program for business class are available other than federal program and the requirement for experience, investable funds and language requirement are different based on the program.

Business class applicants are selected primarily based on their ability to create jobs for themselves and other Canadians

Business class applicants do not use the Express Entry system, but mail application packages.

Applicants must have an adequate amount of money in order to support and provide for the cost of living for at least one year.
